latest comment from Mick Jackson, 14/06/2024 15:24:These two can best be described as being criminally incompetent, unfit for purpose, and are actively trying to derail the justice that is due to these criminals. This trial is going nowhere and was designed this way by these very same people, it's all a facade to appease the thousand of critics, most of whom want these two to stand trial for dereliction of duty and criminal negligence. There is a requirement to have both of them removed from office and placed in custody until effective and honest replacements are found.

latest comment from Angus Black, 14/06/2024 14:26:A glaring fact which seems to be overlooked is that the government has no money for legitimate requests by citizens, not as favours, but by right. After squandering big millions in paying back IOUs to its Mafia gang, 'persons of trust'', the 'establishment' has no dough left to feed the paupers. After doubling the National Debt, the government has not much room to continue to throw the country deeper in the red, without having anything to show for it. This government was against joining the EU, then when Malta became a full member of the Union, it took full advantage of the millions obtained from the EU and in typical PL fashion still disrespected, if not disregarded the fundamental rules, leading one to suspect that the motive behind this is to distance itself from the EU to a point of forcing the EU to limit, if not completely cut out any assistance. Abela and his wrecking crew need to take full responsibility for the mess they brought us in, and do the only repectable move and resign en masse.

latest comment from Tony Cutajar, 14/06/2024 03:18:And how can workers 'aspire to a better life' when salaries are so pitiful? Workers do not eat dreams. The salaries need to be at par with those of mainland Europe. Anyone operating at the expense of employees should not be operating in the first place.

latest comment from Angus Black, 14/06/2024 14:40:Abela's arrognce has been long into the making, first as 'advisor' to the most corrupt politician in Malta's history (and Abela's boss) and then succeeding him with a promise of 'continuity', which indeed he delivered as promised! For 11 years the GWU looked, listened and continued to deal with the corrupt regimes, very much to its advantage and in return, the union kept quiet. Now, that some of its members may have been threatened by their friendly prime minister they finally squawked! Too little, two late, GWU. Where were you when the Vitals/Steward 'real deal' was declared fraudulent by Steward themselves, followed by the Auditor General's investigations and finally the Courts themselves? One remembers the days when for a penny increase in the cost of petrol you used to send people screaming along the streets, but not so when you knew that 460 MILLION were given away for nothing except lining the ockets of a few crooks! Looks like for the GWU what's good for the goose is not good for the gander!
